Almost every single war since WW2 has been started by the West. We need to trim the Warfare State and all the billionaires who push lies like this. So we can have schools and hospitals and houses and live like it is the 21st century, not the 18th.

Everyone's least favourite far-right head boy, Zia Yusuf, was up late tweeting about the navy last night. Our sycophantic media appear to back on the Reform UK bandwagon this morning, with Yusuf being spread around studios like so much fascist jam. LBC running dutifully with the 'new' policy announced by Reform last night. But, as with everything at Reform policy centre HQ [Nigel's cigarette packet], it's an old, worn out idea that has been rubbished many times before. 16th June 2023 24th February 2024 17th June 2024 25th June 2024 6th September 2025 2nd May 2026 3rd August 2026 These are the specific dates that I found, with three mins of research, when Reform UK pushed out their ludicrous policy in the past. Sky News, GMB and LBC platforming this nonsense like the credulous sycophants they are, could be reminded about the previous [minimum] six times this has been announced and rubbished in the past. Oh, and if you fancy a bit of fun, check the comments under Yusuf's post. You have to scroll a LONG way down to find anything supportive, and in my feed that was Adam Brooks! 🤦‍♂️

Ceuta permet à l'Espagne et par elle aux pays Européens alliés, un contrôle des portes de la Méditerranée. Les États-Unis et Israël veulent imposer un deuxième corridor marocain pour ce détroit, afin de ne pas dépendre de l’Espagne ni, à travers elle, d’une alliance de pays européens. L’axe Washington-Tel-Aviv se méfie des velléités d’autonomie européenne, et en particulier de celles de l’Espagne, qui a donné l’exemple d'une diplomatie active et critique ces derniers mois, à l'occasion des guerres menées par Israël et les États-Unis au Moyen-Orient. Comme le notent plusieurs géopolitologues avisés ces dernières heures, Israël et les États-Unis veulent contrôler ce détroit via leur vassal marocain face à l’insécurité de la mer Rouge et du canal de Suez. L’opération Ceuta et la contestation de la souveraineté espagnole constituent les phases de déstabilisation et fragilisation destinées à forcer à terme l'Espagne à céder Ceuta (et probablement Melilla) pour ouvrir un corridor à l'axe Washington-Tel-Aviv via les eaux territoriales marocaines. Pour préparer l’opinion publique, ils s’appuient sur tous les réseaux qu’ils contrôlent en Europe. Ceux-ci deviennent de ce fait faciles à identifier : ils concentrent leurs attaques sur l’Espagne et soutiennent, ou à minima passent sous silence, la responsabilité du Maroc (et de ses suzerains) dans l’invasion de Ceuta. Les influenceurs de la communauté pro-israélienne et les relais de la propagande des États-Unis sont tout particulièrement mobilisés à cette fin. Mais la gauche LFI, plus avisée des questions géopolitiques et une fois sortie de ses réflexes conditionnés sur l’immigration (qui n’est pas vraiment ici l’enjeu), sait que la perte de contrôle de l’Espagne sur Ceuta (puis Melilla) aboutirait de fait à servir les intérêts des « puissances impérialistes » et à une nette perte de contrôle des Européens sur l’accès à la Méditerranée. Cruel dilemme.
