When I tap to show the breakdown of the “Taxes & Fees”, I learn it’s just fees equal to 7.9% of my base ticket price. That’s a snapshot from a non-airline transportation consumer. (2/2)

@pauleaman @SceneFiend @cta It is also not a binary—fully sighted/fully blind. There are people with low vision, esp. those born with low vision, who learned Braille in school. The blue sign helps ID & distinguish it as CTA sign. If someone cannot see to read the large print, the Braille is there.

@cta The #a11y sign in photo only has “bus stop” in Brl. Proposal: Put a print “CTA Bus Stop” sign at top of pole. Place high contrast, large-type sign with Braille lower on pole that includes route info in print & Braille (route no(s)., route name(s), SMS info). #universaldesign

@jkcorellia This is a good sign. The problem with very simple “Only flush toilet paper” signs is that the sign maker has not considered the possibility that a patron may strictly interpret its instructions. This would be an unwelcome outcome.

@OvercastFM Love the app. One bug: When I tap “Playlist Settings” for “All Episodes”, it switches out of Overcast to the Home Screen. This happens when choosing the option from inside the playlist and from the main screen listing of playlists and podcasts.

These news stories are sensational. They never factor for inflation. Are gas prices high compared to yesterday? Sure. Compared to 1970s or early 2000s? Not when you factor for inflation.
