I’m sorry for the incoherence. The spellcheck has become so distracting with obtuse substitutions. You get what I mean. The Big Lebowski, Oh Brother and Fargo are so monumental that these lesser known gems might be overlooked. For me The Coens are the Philip Seymour Hoffman of Writing and Directing. I enjoy just about anything of theirs.

The first time I saw it I picked it up after the opening credits and didn’t realize what it who or who had done. In the middle of the first act I thought “Is this the Coens?” I love this film!! The same happened the night I came across The Man Who Wasn’t There. It’s that “wait a minute!!” which goes off in the mind and only then one opens the IMDB and say “aha!”
