The pandemic era sucked, but one of the rare few bright lights was #AEW. The product that we were getting was amazing. I’ll never forget that celebration of life tribute episode for Brodie Lee. It was the best episode of weekly wrestling television I had seen in nearly 20 years. AEW gave us something to look forward to every week during one of the worst times in our lives.

If this was NHL, the two biggest I can think of are Brad Park and Curtis Joseph. Brad Park would’ve won several Norris Trophies if not for Bobby Orr and Denis Potvin and Curtis Joseph was simply born at the wrong time, played during the greatest generation of goalies with Hasek, Roy, Belfour and Brodeur.

There needs to be some sort of recourse for the team. Either there needs to be limits per team on how many can NMC’s/NTC’s can be handed out or something else has to happen that gives teams some sort of power back. The fact that players can get the we clauses and then decide to essentially not honor their contracts with sub-par play is insane. It needs to be more like the NFL.
