@fishing4boots Lea definitely seems like he has a chance to change the Vandy standard. What's important is that he's a Vanderbilt man and already has learned how to change his approach when necessary. If he can garner support from the admin. & alumni network, in this era, Vandy can be good.
Just one point I will make: Some of those programs weren't relevant until a certain coach came along. Spurrier at Florida. Schnellenberger at Miami. I can throw out Dabo at Clemson. Cignetti at Indiana. Bobby Bowden at FSU. Mike Bellotti at Oregon. Frank Beamer at Va. Tech.

What has eluded him to this point in his tenure has largely been consistency. He has a high floor team this year with the combination of talent and experience this roster possesses. It will take catastrophic injuries to lead to a losing season, and thus getting him fired.
that coach for South Carolina remains to be seen. I will say the man has been the best recruiter the school has ever had, which is ironic considering the school of thought that's espoused by certain types in the CFB media sphere. He also has shown he can win big games here.
