Okay, I'm sold. Grok Bot is really well executed. Well done @jordantop and the team at Cursor. I've been missing my always-on agent ever since my OpenClaw setup went down. Onboarding and connecting tools was a breeze. The browser handoff is smooth. And the agent-over-chat approach makes things feel continuous in a way a ChatGPT chat just doesn't. You give it work, you come back, and it still has the thread. I filed an insurance claim through ChatGPT a while back. Policy docs, photos, the back and forth with the broker. The kind of job that usually dies the second you close the laptop. That's when I got what this is actually for. It's the same shape as collecting evidence for a compliance report. Or a daily digest of the business. Or the emails that have been sitting unanswered because nobody owned the follow-up. You could always ask a chatbot to help with any of that. The difference is you can leave.
NatWest took payslip PDFs out of the mortgage path. A PDF is a claim. Claims are cheap to fake. Income from payroll data is a record. Different object. That's the distinction we built around.
@paulg Isn’t the exception something like OpenAI and Sam Altman? I remember him saying on a podcast that building that went against most of the advice given at YC
@karrisaarinen Claude Code CLI and Codex CLI. More annoying in Codex CLI because you can't reauthenticate without closing and starting the session. See this at least every day
@karrisaarinen the Linear MCP server seems to need authentication every 12 hours (or less?). Result is agents in long running sessions end up being creative and use local Linear tokens and the Graph api instead. The MCP also can't take file uploads (documents to projects)

I love the design of the framework and I’m a huge Effect fan. But I do wonder how much framework ergonomics will matter when AI will be writing most of the code. Eg performance, agent ergonomics etc start to matter most. And “pre trained on 10 years of react” is a factor. That being said - there’s a ton of bad react code so that might just be the counter argument to that statement 😅
