@phl43 They’ve been deep in the London left scene their entire adult lives and it defines them. A good friend of 20 years sending you a text going “wtf is wrong with you man? My girlfriend doesn’t want you round anymore” is much more difficult to shrug off than any employees or audience

What you are saying is the claim in the paragraph is false in its description of reality, not that the reasoning is fallacious.
