A huge robber fly (2.5cm long) I photographed back in June in Bulgaria I think the species is Dasypogon diadema Prey on bees but although I've seen many of these robbers I've never seen them with prey

ようやく新居の光回線開通～。ようやく顕微鏡写真をツイッターに上げられるよ。これは本日撮影した北海道で採取したササラダニ。アミメオニダニ科なのは間違いなく、おそらく普通種のハナビラオニダニ（Nothrus anauniensis）。普通種は余裕を持って撮影できるので傾斜撮影など色々試すよ。

@sleepy_devo @Willowfoxxo Suicidality is a complex phenomena. The best simple predictor I think would be a combination of general hardship (e.g. dysphoria) and isolation. But of course it depends on the person.

If he genuinely has a micropenis or whatever, then the surgery to construct what should have been there to me is gender affirming care for a man similar to phalloplasty. Different from when people misuse the term, like w/r/t hair growth for men.

The Purple Dead-Nettle with a backlight. As mentioned, they don't sting, and actually the "nettle" label is a misnomer as they're a part of the mint family. This *may* be a case of batesian mimicry (look like something dangerous so that predators will avoid you).
