It’s also because you’re crap at it and don’t understand the game. You still call it soccer. You have to amp up entertainment in the crowd to distract you from the boredom on the pitch. Think cheerleaders, kiss cams, firing jerseys into the crowd, half time shows and commercials. Countries with a football culture go to actually watch the game.
