The distinction of between fides formata and fides informis, not natural and supernatural. Faith is a theological virtue, therefore it is always supernatural. newadvent.org/summa/3006.htm

@Anthonydiscere @cengime @engl1shtradcat Councils are infallible in and of themselves. They must be reconciled. Florence is talking about salvation, Trent is talking about justification. Not all the justified (sins remitted) are necessarily saved (entrance into heaven), so there’s no contradiction.
