@LifeSelfSociety @emilykmay Do you plan meals and grocery shop, know what size shoes and clothes your kids wear, what they need for school, register them in childcare, school and activities, set up playdates, book appointments, keep track of schedules? I highly doubt you do any of this.

@Citizen004 @DuaneBratt Provinces were not "caught by surprise". Were immigration levels too high? Yeah. That's been corrected. Are there a lot of kids with higher needs in schools now? Yes. And the UCP made massive cuts to PUF and classroom supports when they formed govt. Those cuts reverberate today.

@Citizen004 @DuaneBratt Yeah, I live in Calgary and have a 5 year old who just started school. Infrastructure and services have been inadequate for decades. There has been a complete lack of investment. The only reason we have the South Health Campus built is because it was started under the NDP.

At my jobs in Jewish organizations, at my synagogue, at my Jewish dinner tables, across Jewish op-eds, journals, blogs and podcasts we have spoken for years about how Israel’s behavior is fueling antisemitism. It’s not surprising that Republicans are calling Hasan Piker antisemitic for saying the same thing. But I am surprised I’m still surprised it’s the Democrat establishment helping them lie. After all, throughout history, like clockwork, the liberals have always feared socialism more than fascism. Which is just a compact way to say they fear the power of ordinary people more than they fear a dictator.
