@JulianUnlocked @ScienceMagazine I agree that that method was too noisy. It was more the noise that scared the animal. I think a drone though would be very noisy and more scary. But good you are thinking of different ideas than that noisy frightening contraption

@DafoeWhitney Yes I've got fun projects that I have to run through my mind because I can't physically do them. I used to be a handyman and whenever there was a problem I'd fix it. Now I have to fix the problem in my head and then hire a student and describe to them step-by-step what to do.

Medicine hypersensitivity in ME/CFS 💉 I want to share our community for the sickest patients dealing with a severe form of medicine and treatment sensitivity, where even tiny crumb doses or the wrong supplement can trigger a brutal drugged/poisoned feeling + PEM crash and carry a real risk of worsening baseline. Interesting observation: almost all of these patients also seem to have screen intolerance 🤔 Severe medicine hypersensitivity + screen intolerance = possible subtype? Also interesting: none are tube fed. Maybe extreme gastroparesis is a distinct subtype of its own? I know a few tube-fed patients who only seem to have mild issues with medicine or treatment sensitivity. Very early anecdotal data and gut feeling of course, but the pattern is interesting. @AprilVixxi Interestingly I have a similar problem as have ME/CFS and medication intolerance, only on new medicines though. Although strangely I found out if I took prednisone alongside a new medication I could suddenly tolerate it. So I'm now looking at Cyclosporine as is less hard on pwME

@Sp33dtrial5 Anyone know why glucocorticoids block this hypersensitivity to other meds? meaning can be taken alongside a med that formally couldn't be taken. (Sadly some ME/CFS patients can't tolerate glucocorticoids). Also it's not a long term solution. But hints at a potential mechanism

@maddenifico The "he's right" comments ruined that video. It's far more powerful hearing the speaker than being interrupted and distracted by an annoying "he's right" comment. What I want to know is where is the original video without it being hijacked and ruined?

@TomKindlon Good news Is Daratumumab losers it's patent in Japan and the US in 2026 March. Japan is in the comprehensive trans pacific partnership agreement. Meaning other countries that are in that, highly likely have the same expiry date for their Daratumumab patent. So costs will drop

@SawyerBlatz @PammckC Start low on mestinon as I took the full dose & after 3 days my body rejected it. You probably start low anyway. I just regret starting the way I did. I now have problems with many meds. That said I'm excited about Daratumumab and the 6 out of 10 pwME who significantly improved

@bhanlon15 i wpnder if, metformin maybe showing an effect in just pre diabetic people. But if people ate eating a diet high in whole plant foods like vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds, berries, seeded shoots, fruits, & low in ultra processed foods, then the drug may have little benefit

@sun_in_winter12 @jason_isaia I happy you improved. You were likely unbeknownst were at a tipping point & the protocol helped. Others aren't close to tipping back to health. What we need is to repeat what you did with many others. Then we will know for sure. But I haven't seen many achieve that.

@Gmwetz @OtrPat I think (from someone else reading the study) that they had up to 7 injections. I think the pharmaceutical company only sells it in full cancer treatment lots i.e. 23 doses. So one would have to go into partnership with a couple of other people. Also the price is horrendous

@sunsopeningband @bhanlon15 PEM is likely part of the Cell Danger Response that Naviaux studied. It could be that exertion while sick is a detriment to the body fighting infection, therefore the mechanism that has already limited glucose metabolism (to stop pathogenic replication) limits the patient further
