FNC 2017 is such a great example of it compared to their 2018 self: Winning through “fallbacks” and forcing the other teams to beat you before late game, as opposed to bringing yourself to have to play at a really high level during the earlier stages of the game.

@Lands_of_Winter I genuinely think that they have a mental block by now, but it doesn’t help that they think they need to outplay to win. They don’t. You don’t beat LYON through individual gymnastics, you beat them by playing their own game - and just extending their logic

I fundamentally don’t understand why people don’t just play scaling junglers into LYON. It’s clear that their early pace is quite slow, and they require Inspired to outscale in teamfights for them to feel comfortable. This early game focus just misses the mark for C9 entirely.

@JonathanJamz1 Man, I hate when people do this. He clearly screwed up with multiple invades himself, trying to contest raptors. Also Gwen is a dog water example of a scaling jungler, as it really is 0 or 100. She has no recourse if in a pickle.

Neither Huni or Wadid are really EU Legends, and Nemesis is on the fringe, unless you’re willing to make “what-if” arguments into “legends”. The threshold of “Legend” is likely met around the Nukeduck/Vander tier, where longevity meets performance, across generations of EU LoL.

Clearly pretending to misunderstand, but either way: One shouldn’t have to win worlds to be able to sell one’s product, especially in a game and league one paid millions and millions into to share revenue with. Isn’t it simply mutually beneficial to make team skins for all?

League so clearly, as an esport at least, operates with an artificial scarcity of access to its own resources (tournament rights, skins, promotion) towards organizations, yet dignified and accepted buy-ins into its ecosystem from any source once the money ran dry. It’s so weird.

I simply do not get the artificial hold up - the exclusivity of worlds skins doesn’t bear any benefit to the teams, nor do the world skins themselves even bring about enough of an incentive themselves: they’re an afterthought to winning anyway. So what of it, really?
