Well offs own Single family homes in Calif. D poor & minorities rent in Multifamily homes. They r d ones in need of homes & close to homelessness. Cities allow 2 story ADUs in Single family homes & not in Multifamily. Change law for 2story ADUs in Multifamilyhomes #GavinNewsom

@bett_yu @KPIXtv This shows people living on the streets and not in homes. It means LESS HOMES and LESS AFFORDABLE HOUSING. Failure of the Planning Department and the local government for restricting new home constructions. It takes a while but this is d end result

@sfstandard The state of California constantly passed laws to enable people to build on their properties, while the cities persistently work against d State's effort n restrict the people.

Elon and Tan r far from reality and d process of building housing. D cities are persistently against regular people building on their properties. It's been 3 yrs n I'm unable to build an ADU in San Jose. The cities cause homelessness. Don't side with them. sfstandard.com/2023/08/28/elo…

@AlexShoor Nearly 70% of black folks rent in multi-family housing in San Jose. City of San Jose Planning Department made ordinances restricting Multi-family housing. Wonder way black folks leaving or not coming to San Jose?

@SJSpotlight @sliccardo When Liccardo was Mayor, he voted Yes on ordinances the disproportionately affect people of color. I am sure he did not want these people whose votes he is counting on for his run for congress dream, to see his votes.

@MattMahanSJ Providing off street parking underneath an ADU is beneficial in many ways. Reduces street congestion, convenient to renters and neighbors. Pls revise 20.30.480 to allow 25ft ADU with ADU on top and parking below ADU.

@MattMahanSJ Mayor Mahan, I want to believe that you are serious to tackle homelessness. Homelessness means NO HOME. No home because we can't build. I can't build because 20.30.480 you voted yes on. I can't build a simple ADU with parking underneath. It could be a home for someone. Pls help.

@CMRaulPeralez @xmasintheparksj Thank goodness for departure Raul, pls never come back. You are a complete failure for being a minority and voted infavor of 20.30.480 to repress multifamily and middle and lower income people. Shame on you.

@MattMahanSJ Matt Mahan voted Yes on 20.30.480 to repress Multifamily lots while allowing Single family 20.30.460 loads of options. So much hate for families and the poor that you want to gain fame and exploit. We couldn't build because of your vote.

@MattMahanSJ Double mouth Matt Mahan, cause problem and try to gain fame for it peril. He is one of the city snake council that voted to repress Americans from building homes and additions. Less homes, poor people spill into the street and die.

@mtnviewellen @CMRaulPeralez @RaulPeralez @SVYoungDems Wont respond when contacted. Actually came to my house with his wife and son on a stroller. We had a chat for a while and he gave me his card. I placed his campaign sign in-front of my house. It is unfortunate how to not trust some people.

@mtnviewellen @CMRaulPeralez @RaulPeralez @SVYoungDems Raul visited my house when running for mayor. He informed me he is pro housing and grew up in 4plex. I voted 4 him. found out he voted yes on 2 discriminating ordinances 20.30.460 and 20.30.480, that gave more ADU height options to single family lots n restrict multi-family lots.

@MattMahanSJ Remove the discriminating ordinance you voted on, it gave more options in ADU height for Single family lot (20.30.460) and restricts ADU height for multifamily lot (20.30.480). Because of this, we are unable to build our ADU for 3 yrs and waiting. It could be a home for someone.

The two men in the center are the outgoing and incoming mayors Sam Liccardo and Matt Mahan, serving Thanksgiving dinner to families recently becoming homeless. How ironic these men voted yes on ordinance that limits multi-family homes.

@FuckCarsReddit @NimbyPatrol You said it right...we need to remove barriers for new home, especially multi-family home constructions. The one obstacle that is always setting up these barriers are the tax payer funded City Planning departments.

@voteomartorres Rest in peace and my condolences to those who passed in the Club Q shooting. My heart aches for the victims of the shooting at Club Q and for the LGBTQ community as a whole.
