💔 HEARTBROKEN… RIP BEAUTIFUL ABBEY 💔 Behind the keyboard warriors, the nasty comments, the rescuers daily life , is a heartbreak only some know💔 the loss of animal that has meant so much to so many😔 Amongst the happy endings, we all know there will be that day. A day in which we dread 😔 And yesterday was one of those days were age and health issues take control of the wheel. Our beautiful Abbey💔 Our girl due to her age had been admitted recently to ucd veterinary hospital and diagnosed with wobblers syndrome, or Cervical Vertebral Stenotic Myelopathy (CVSM). It is a neurological condition where the spinal cord compression in the neck disrupts nerve signals to the limbs causing a swaying gait, stumbling, and hind-end weakness. At the age of 23, we were devastated but we knew we could manage it as we have others that have come into our rescue with it to give them some quality of life,love and care after all they have been through. As it is a progress issue over time it is important to monitor the changes as some horses decline quicker then others 😔 In the time she was in ucd her balance and control over her own legs had declined to the point she would fall older even while standing still 😔 We spoke at length with our amazing vets at ucd because we didn't want to believe that there was no magic fix 💔 but we knew we had to make the most awful decision any animal lover has to make where their quality of life and health has to be put first over our need to never lose them💔 We spent hours with her yesterday letting her know how much she was loved❤️we seen for ourselves how much she had declined neurologicaly in such a short period of time and in moments were she looked like she forgot we were there we saw the exhaustion and struggle in her eyes and we knew it was time 😢 Time for her to rest and be at peace💔 Our Farm Queen keep watching over us We'll miss you everyday Rest now Abbeylicious Please donate today, animals like Abbey need us, we promise to do all we can for each and every one of them 💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️ mylovelyhorserescue.com/donate.html

PLEASE HELP US SAVE LUNA’S SIGHT 💔 Luna came into our care after her owner was admitted to hospital. Sadly, we quickly discovered that both of Luna’s eyes were severely ulcerated, and there is a real risk that she could lose her sight. We acted immediately. Luna is now receiving urgent treatment, pain relief and eye drops every hour, around the clock, thanks to her incredible foster carer. She will also need an eyelid operation and ongoing medical care to give her the best chance of saving her sight. Her owner is going through an incredibly difficult time and made the heartbreaking decision to surrender Luna so that she could receive the care she desperately needs. Today, our water pump decided to give up. Great! 😩 So, we’ve had to purchase a replacement at the exhausting cost of £462.60 .This is a huge chunk of money taken away from the charity, but without the pump, we simply cannot access water , and that is the current situation on one of our sanctuaries. We’ve had to pay for an emergency next-day delivery so that we can get the pump as quickly as possible. 💧 If you are able to help towards the cost of the pump, we would be incredibly grateful. 💔💔💔POOR GOAT💔💔💔 This poor goat was found in a wasteland area of Dublin. Alongside the Dublin City Council Animal Welfare Unit Team, we spent a long time patiently trying to gain his trust. Eventually, we managed to get him to safety. The poor thing had a rope wrapped so tightly around his two large horns that it had been knotted in place. It was heartbreaking to see. 💔💔 It was obvious he'd been tied up and secured to a brick in the field, with no sign of water, left alone, frightened, and vulnerable.💔😡 What is going on? We really need to do better as a country. Animals deserve kindness, care, and protection. A goat should never be abandoned in a City, tied to a brick and left to fend for himself. It's simply unacceptable.😡 It's situations like this that make us feel angry and deeply saddened. But thanks to teamwork, this lovely boy is now safe. A huge thank you to the Dublin City Council Animal Welfare Unit for their help and dedication. Lenny, a sweet Pit Bull, was cruelly thrown out of his apartment by his owner in the freezing cold. 💔 When rescuers found him, Lenny was curled up in a small corner with nothing but a thin blanket and a little food. His eyes were filled with sadness, and his body trembled from the cold. But the moment the young rescuer called his name and offered him something to eat, he immediately wagged his tail, licked her hand, and placed all of his trust in her. She gently reassured him, saying, "You're the best boy." Overjoyed, Lenny happily jumped into her car, snuggled close to her, and slept peacefully for the entire ride as if he had finally found the warmth and safety he had been longing for after so many lonely days. Today, Lenny is safe. Despite his large size, he is a gentle, affectionate Pit Bull who is deeply grateful for every act of kindness shown to him. No animal deserves to be abandoned. A heartfelt thank you to the kind-hearted people who refused to turn away from their suffering. ❤️🐾
