Interesting that deep learning could make robotics more approachable. Imagine a small business being able to train a simple pick and place task to box up their products for an order rather than programming a set of movements. Most solutions don't need AGI, just repeatability.
To do this, I 3d-printed and assembled the SO-101 Leader and Follower arms to collect demonstrations of how to identify and pick up some of her toys to test how resilient these models are to lighting conditions and positional changes. Follow for more experiments!
I've been inspired by how my rapidly developing toddler learns and develops new skills on a daily basis. How teaching and curating a learning environment shapes her development, and how she applies these skills to new contexts. Could AI models learn the same way?
