Shockingly, his NDIS plan was one of the factors the court relied on to find exceptional circumstances and grant bail. “Not only is this accused terrorist now free in our community, Australian taxpayers are funding his likely six-figure NDIS plan. It’s a bloody disgrace. “This is exactly the weakness my bill would address. Terrorism is not ordinary crime, and community protection and national security must come first. “My bill would require a bail authority dealing with a terrorism charge to treat community protection and national security as the paramount considerations. Bail would not be granted unless the authority is satisfied the person poses no threat to the community. “My bill would also make clear that family circumstances, available accommodation, electronic monitoring or ordinary court delay do not, by themselves, amount to exceptional circumstances. “One wrong decision in a terrorism case can cost innocent lives. “Labor’s appeasement of radical Islamic extremists must stop now. They have granted hundreds of millions in community grants to groups without advice from security agencies, and the Home Affairs Minister has been working behind closed doors to bring the ISIS brides and now ISIS fighters back into Australia.

The Flydubai co-pilot who tried to hijack a plane and crash it into Tel Aviv started going off the rails into radicalisation while he was in Melbourne on an international student visa. UAE prosecutors say he got mixed up with people connected to an Australian Islamic centre called My Centre. That same centre later got more than $68,000 of Australian taxpayers’ money from the Labor government. In the Senate I asked a simple question: did anyone bother to check with ASIO or the Federal Police before handing over that cash? Did the minister or his department even do a Google search or look at the Facebook pages of these organisations before giving them taxpayer money? The minister wouldn’t give a straight answer. One Nation did a simple google search and found dozens of extreme Islamic hatred posts from the organisation. Australians deserve to know whether this government is doing even the most basic checks before it funnels hundreds of millions of dollars into multicultural groups and risks funding terrorism. Obviously, this government doesn't care. They're more interested in bribing radical Islamists with taxpayer money.

Never forget: Ilhan Omar’s family didn’t flee Somalia as the oppressed. They fled because her father, Nur Omar Mohamed, was a senior colonel in the Somali National Army of the genocidal communist dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, the regime that systematically slaughtered up to 200,000 people, mostly Isaaq civilians, in one of the worst genocides in modern African history. A daughter of a colonel from the regime that carried out the Isaaq genocide has the gall to moralize to the country that took her in after her father’s side lost power. Her father came to the U.S. as a “refugee,” just like Yusuf Abdi Ali, who was accused of war crimes and later found liable for torture in a U.S. civil court. Yet, as far as publicly available information shows, her father never faced comparable scrutiny or accountability. Consider this: Ali was deported from the US only two years ago, after a survivor pursued justice through the courts. It took a survivor’s determination to bring his abuses before a judge and jury. That’s the record.
