@MitchellMcCoy Unless there’s some evidence that the person the police were beating, kicking and skull-cracking was trying to detonate a suicide vest, there shouldn’t be much to investigate here. What else could possibly justify that kind of force?

Genuinely stumped by the new anti-teacher-raise talking point that we should treat public schools like “any business in the world.” Because anyone with the most basic understanding of markets & incentives knows how to attract and retain great talent: Pay them competitively.

OK, so not only do Republicans want to institute a federal ban on abortion, but today 195 of them voted against codifying the right to contraception. Only 8 voted yes. (Every Dem was a yes). This was not a “gotcha” bill with a bunch of stuff btw. It was pretty straightforward.
