Nigerians have turned their Drs into Schrödinger's professionals. Inside Nigerian hospitals, they're apparently incompetent paracetamol vendors you wouldn't touch with a six-foot pole. At the airport, they suddenly become highly valuable state property whose education was "subsidised" & whose movement must be controlled, even if it means chaining them to an oxygen cylinder for 5 yrs of indentured work. So it's not even hatred per se, it's ownership. People want doctors always available, trapped, grateful & silent.

Once my mom and stepdad got scammed by a guy who knocked on the door and offered to fix the dents in their cars outside. He pretended to work on the cars, took the money, and then fled. My stepdad said the weird part was that the man did most of the correct steps to fix the dents, and obviously knew how it worked, but just decided not to finish it. That's when I first saw a glimpse into the spirit of a scammer. It's not laziness or incompetence that drives them. Oftentimes the scammer works harder at scamming than they would at an honest job. What drives them is the incessant need to be better than everyone else to "get one over on" others. It's a truly perverse and awful way to live.

I told my guy that i was hungry yesterday and he asked me to take out soup from the freezer so i can defrost. Immediately i opened it and reached for the plate, that was the last thing i remembered for like 3 seconds. Everywhere first blur, i stood there totally shocked wondering what happened. Only for this bagger lizard to come and ask me if it shocked me, i nodded. He now said “no vex abeg i for tell you to wear slippers before you open am”.😭😭
