Very good news. iOS Developer Beta 15.5 beta 3 and WatchOS 8.6 beta 3 fixes the complication bugs. No change required to AutoWake for it to work again.
If you can avoid it please do not update to iOS 15.4. Apple has introduced a bug that prevents iOS from knowing which complications are active on a Watch face thus rendering AutoWake unable to be used.
iOS 15.4.1 does not fix the complication bug. We’ve done everything we can to help Apple fix this. Over and above really. Many hours spent on this trying to help them. If their bug is not fixed in 15.4.2 AutoWake will be regretfully withdrawn from sale.
@swrobel Wrote them a test app and sent syslogs, showing problem in 15.4 versus older versions of iOS. Hopefully it helps them to find the problem quickly. It does affect all apps that update a complication via iOS.
@StevenOrel Some customers that used the beta reported it and I asked them all to submit reports. I hoped it would have been fixed with so many reports.
@BKrnk Let me do some testing in case there are more sinister implications. Having complication on Watch face enables various background privelages. They may also be gone.
@aaron_pearce Seems to be [WCSession defaultSession].isComplicationEnabled; just updating Xcode so I can properly test. This of course takes quite some time.
@BlarnixYT There’s a bug in the beta that prevents iOS from recognising active complications on WatchOS. As a beta tester please report to Apple. The more reports the faster it will be fixed.
