Pay attention to the routing. If you have been paired with an Uber or Lyft driver who is approaching from the South I strongly advise you cancel to fish for one approaching from the North, else you will be waiting an additional 15-20 minutes for them to loop around.

I don't mean a rough approximation. I mean laser-like precision. You need to be honed in and properly oriented toward this thing before you can hope to move toward it in any structured way. So I might ask you, "What is it that you think you want?" "A life built in such a way so that you never, or perhaps at least seldom, feel the need to have a vacation from it." That can be a good starting place, sure! It certainly is not nothing, but it also does not offer the kind of precision that can reliably translate into well-calibrated action. What the hell does that even look like, really? That's a serious question and a highly necessary for you to begin the journey of answering if you plan to aspire to something as bold as what you've put forth. So let's peel back the layers on that a bit and see what there may be to find underneath. Let's get into the belly of this life you need no vacation from. A good place to start may be by asking, "What precisely are the things that characterize the life you live now, which apparently you do feel the need to have a vacation from?" or "What conditions or circumstances are inspiring this longing for a sense of respite?" You feel like you need a break? From what might that be, exactly? Better yet, what is currently lacking within the way you are living your life that consistently leaves you so depleted, as opposed to invigorated or inspired? Where might you be guilty of negligence or irresponsibility? Are you honestly pulling enough of your own weight, and if so what constraints are present within your environment that you could potentially eliminate, if not at least modify? This is no small undertaking, to bring yourself from a state of chronic burnout and perpetual fatigue and boredom to one of being so sincerely devoted to the adventure of your life that you seldom, if ever, feel the need to have a break from the work you have the audacity to suspect could constitute the foundation of your personal fulfilment. This sort of thing will not and cannot possibly occur by chance. If you want to move the needle in your life in any meaningful way, you will first need to take full inventory of all the levers you have the ability to push. Most importantly, you will need to identify each one of them that is tilted toward the wrong side of the scale. You want to keep spinning your wheels in place? Yeah, well, keep your damn foot on the brake and that's exactly what you'll get.

As someone who could surely use much more play in my life, here's what I distilled from your conversation @StevenBartlett @jordanbpeterson Play may be afforded to you within the territory where you are engaged in a behavior which best serves the highest good you may aim for both currently as well as in the medium to long term. It may be afforded to you. Whether or not it is afforded to you is contingent both on the quality of the foundations you have laid and also on your capacity to be present within the understanding that the appropriate conditions for play have been met. This means, in essence, not allowing yourself to be removed from your participation in the moment by your preoccupations with the fears of a coward.

You are correct. From a business perspective, this is obviously advantageous. From a societal perspective, it may be disastrous. That's really all I meant to point out... though everyone probbaly already knows this. It's like the inverse of the saying "sometimes you gotta Crack a few eggs to make an omelet" This is more like "sometimes you gotta give up on the omelet to save a few eggs." To be fair, if the companies go under because they can't afford to pay minimum $20/hr everyone loses. The jobs get lost anyway... it's a tough one for sure
