Their job is to design and fine-tune the algorithms to deliver the most engaging, most relevant, and most personalized content to you. However, it's also worth noting that these algorithms learn from your behavior. ⌨️ So in a way, you also have a hand in running your own feed. 👩‍🏫 Every like, comment, share, and even the amount of time you spend looking at a post, teaches the algorithm about your preferences. Not fully. Not yet. ❌ While the target audience suggestion looks insanely accurate on the surface (we tell because we’ve run similar campaigns on similar target audiences to yield great results)… GPT made an assumption based on observed trends and associations. It only gave you the starting point. It’s your job to test these assumptions and refine your approach based on it. 🧪 Based on the performance of your campaign, you may need to adjust your target audience…🧑‍🔧 …perhaps narrowing it down, broadening it, or shifting focus entirely. In addition…➕ Facebook’s advertising platform uses complex algorithms to optimize ad delivery …so even with the same targeting settings, your ads may reach slightly different people depending on a range of factors, including: 👉 the ad creative 👉 bidding strategy, and how people interact with the ad. 👉 how people interact with the ad. Lastly… 🧐 Remember that as per Facebook’s ad policies, it’s essential: ✔️ to respect privacy and not to discriminate ✔️exclude certain groups unfairly …when creating your target audiences. GPT may ‘forget’ that, but humans that are good at their jobs don’t.
