94% COUNCIL TAX RISE. Let that sink in. Wandsworth is proposing to increase a typical Band D council tax bill by £958 taking it from around £1,020 to almost £1,978 a year. That’s nearly another £1,000 on the household bill. And before anyone says this is simply about Labour funding cuts, let’s be clear, Councils have a responsibility to taxpayers too. Government funding pressures are real. Wandsworth says its funding is being reduced by £84m a year. But taxpayers shouldn’t automatically be treated as the bottomless pit every time local government finances become unsustainable. This is exactly why Reform UK is arguing for smaller, more accountable government, less waste and better value for taxpayers. Before councils demand another £1,000 from working families, they should be able to demonstrate that every pound already taken has been spent properly. Taxpayers aren’t an ATM. And 94% isn’t a solution we should simply accept without asking some very serious questions about how we got here. The Conservatives can’t simply blame Labour. Labour can’t simply blame the Conservatives. They are both to blame, we must get away from this two party nonsense it clearly has not worked. The taxpayer gets the bill either way.

Why is a Level 2 and 3 plumbing course free in the UK for an asylum seeker and some migrants, but not for me, who is English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and born here? I am a 27-year-old British bloke who already has Level 1 plumbing and just wants to finish Levels 2 and 3 so I can work the trade and leave my Production Operative role for a real career. Cost to me: £4,000–£6,000. The same courses are free if you have refugee status here, free for an asylum seeker who has been here 6 months waiting on a decision, or refused and appealing for 6 months. Also free immediately for several other statuses and if you are on a low income it seems. Why is this country backwards? 🇬🇧

Funny how the narrative around Reform’s councillors leaving gets so much attention. Since May 2025, reported figures show Labour has lost around 289 councillors, compared with 68 for Reform. Reform also won 677 seats at the May 2025 local elections more than any other party. If we’re going to report councillors leaving parties, fine. But apply the same scrutiny to everyone.

Brilliant news. This decision by the NHS was driven by the marker: HER2. I.e. Enhertu needs HER2 to activate (in this case, now approved for use where HER2 is low). #AVCT’s AVA6103 does not use HER2, but FAP. So before we even get into talking about extending life expectancy, FAP is streets ahead of a drug which can only activate when HER2 is present. A true game changer. Avacta is plain sailing from here on out, compared to where we have been.
