My favourite liberal contradictions about the West: 500 years in America makes you a colonizer. Arriving last Tuesday makes you just as American as anyone. Preserving your culture is beautiful unless you're European or American. If Somalis built Minnesota, why didn't they build Somalia? The West is uniquely evil for slavery yet the Arab slave trade lasted longer and killed more. Diversity makes nations stronger yet bobody proposes it as the solution for poor African countries. Western values are oppression yet everyone fleeing oppression runs toward them.

How was it a mistake if you believe what you believe? There was a perfect timing to attack this regime, the US took it and did with minimal casualty. Even if it had 20% of achieving regime change, you could argue that it was worth it to take that bet and bomb them. Actually Khamenei is gone so we will see if what comes next is worse or better.

@Molson_Hart Europe is nice but it's obviously poorer than the US. You can debate healthcare or life expectancy but at the end of the day, people vote with their feet and America remains the world’s most desired migration destination.
