"Mormonism's critics said modern scholarship would dismantle the claims of the Church. That has not happened. Mormon studies is embraced in academia, and the claims look better with age." They assumed the claims would collapse under a microscope. The opposite happened. Mormon studies went mainstream. The world’s top academic publishers print it. Major universities teach it. Scholars outside the faith take it seriously. That was not supposed to happen. Take the Book of Mormon. Critics called it an obvious fraud, the work of a conman. Now serious scholars, including non-Latter-day Saints, analyze it as a complex and sophisticated work. Literary structure. Naming patterns. Ritual forms. The conman theory is dead. Take the theology. God with a body. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as separate beings. Critics called these ideas wildly unchristian. The Harvard Theological Review published the research showing many early Christians believed exactly these things, centuries before later councils ruled them out. Take the temple. Critics called it invented and bizarre. Then a Methodist biblical scholar built her career mapping ancient temple worship, and the parallels were hard to miss. Covenant-making. Ritual clothing. Symbolic progression. These patterns are ancient, not modern. Take the Book of Abraham. Long treated as the weakest link. Then ancient Abraham texts surfaced decades after Joseph Smith died, telling details of the same story. Details found nowhere in Genesis. A Yale scholar reviewed it and said it recaptures archaic Jewish religion with enormous validity. Whatever Joseph was doing, guessing doesn’t explain it. A frontier faith with a founder who had an elementary education and spent his life in near poverty was supposed to wither under modern scrutiny. Instead it earned a seat at the academic table.

I know so many friends of Charlie’s and close work relationships that have felt extra impacted by the recounting of all the horrific details of his murder this week. For everyone who loved Charlie, worked alongside him, joined Turning Point, volunteered or listened to his show every day— this week has been very hard for a lot of people. Prone on the Losi rooftop at 12:22. Shot at 12:23:28. DNA on the screwdriver at 30 quintillion to one. DNA on the rifle at 1.7 octillion to one. He told his family what he did. His parents helped him surrender. He texted his roommate: "I am, I'm sorry." He engraved "Hey Fascist! Catch!" on the ammunition a month before he used it. You said police "didn't even question" Lance Twiggs. He was interviewed twice. FBI the morning after. Joint state-federal team seven months later. His own attorney. Voluntary phone surrender. You laughed when you said it. You told Shawn Ryan a shaped charge killed Charlie. That PETN was in his microphone. The medical examiner says gunshot wound. Bullet fragments were recovered from his body. A .30-06 Mauser with Robinson's DNA was found in the woods. Neither side — not prosecution, not defense — has mentioned explosives. Not once in four days. You said the shot came from below. The Losi building is above the amphitheater. You called Erika Kirk a "clinical psychopath" to an audience of millions. You said the assassination was "an occult ritual." You said Charlie was "sitting in a pentagram." You told people Israel killed him because he refused Netanyahu. You made over a hundred episodes. You built a franchise on a dead man's name. And the hardest fact of all: Tyler Robinson's own defense lawyers — the people whose entire career is on the line to get him acquitted — have refused to make a single one of your arguments. Not one. They're challenging DNA methodology. They are doing their jobs. You were doing something else entirely. Charlie Kirk changed my life. He platformed my work when nobody knew who I was. He had my back when I was doxxed. I was the ten-thousandth most important person in his world and I will never be able to repay him. So I did what I know how to do. I read every transcript. I watched every hour of testimony. I cataloged your claims and I held them up against what was said under oath. Every single one failed. I don't know why you did this. I'm not going to speculate on your motives, because that would make me exactly the kind of analyst I've spent my career refusing to be. But I know what you did. You told people confident lies about a dead man's murder, and millions of them believed you, and some of them turned that belief into threats against his widow. The trial continues. And every day of sworn testimony is another day your words get tested against reality... under oath, on the record, where it counts. I'll be here for all of it... because just as Charlie defended me, I will do what little I can to defend his legacy and @TPUSA and @MrsErikaKirk from evil.

The main reason Alex Jones was held liable was not that he questioned an official narrative. It was that he repeatedly and callously made false accusations about specific people. He claimed the Sandy Hook shooting was staged, that the grieving parents were “crisis actors,” and that they were knowingly participating in a fraud. His false claims, made for clicks and fame, were damaging (severe understatement) and led to harassment and threats against grieving, innocent people. So his "protected opinion" defense failed. The First Amendment protects the right to question events and criticize official accounts, but it does not provide blanket immunity for defamation.

You cannot offer to help free Charlie's assassin and claim to be his best friend. I hate what Charlie's murder has become.

Since some silly claims are being made right now: No, Charlie Kirk did not "hate" @benshapiro. Charlie and Ben differed about the best direction for the conservative movement. Ben supported Ron DeSantis in the 2024 primary while Charlie was all-in for Trump from the start. JD Vance was one of Charlie's favorite politicians, while Ben has been critical of him. Charlie saw Ben as a rival: They both had high-profile shows and major conservative organizations, and Charlie wanted his to be bigger. Charlie sometimes found Ben frustrating or annoying, because he thought Ben was too interventionist, prioritized Israel too much, and the like. And yeah, I'm sure there was personality friction too. But whatever their differences, Ben defended Charlie from bogus claims of racism and never joined in ridiculous smears labeling him an antisemite. If Charlie hated Ben, he wouldn't have kept inviting him to AmericaFest and having him on our show (including the day before his death). He wouldn't have kept going on Ben's show. He wouldn't have had TPUSA and Daily Wire collaborate on a documentary just last year. There were plenty of people on the right whom Charlie denounced and refused to work with. Ben wasn't one of them.

Tyler Robinson is on video on campus four times. (So, he was there.) Medical examiner’s report says cause of Charlie’s death was a gunshot wound to the neck. (So, not an exploding mic from Israel.) TPUSA turned over HD video footage from their cameras of the shooting to law enforcement. (So, the videographer did not steal the footage to hide some secret reality about the murder.) The lead investigator testified that their big tip came when a person — Tyler Robinson — turned himself in to Washington County police. (So, he did turn himself him.) Access to the rooftop is easy, a staircase open to the public and a small guardrail that can be hopped over to gain entry to the gravel rooftop. (So, no Spider-Man ability necessary to get to the roof). Defense actually DOES have access to the state’s discovery. They’ve filed ZERO motions to compel because they are satisfied with state cooperation on this. (So, no fed conspiracy to deny defense exculpatory evidence.) No bullet casing on the roof? So what? Bolt action rifles don’t auto reject casings if only one shot is fired. The casing was found inside the rifle with three other unfired rounds. (So, not a “set up” framing Tyler Robinson’s rifle.) Tyler Robinson was laughing in court. (So, not distraught about “false allegations.) What is the defense here? A mass conspiracy of Israel, Egypt, France, the U.S. Military, Charlie’s former security, Erika Kirk, Cabot Philips, Kash Patel, the FBI, the ATF, Utah police, the judge, and TPUSA all in on the plot together… only without a SHRED of evidence implicating any of them? If you believe that, you need to set down your phone, immediately go to Confession, pray in humility for wisdom and discernment, and start reading a rigorous curriculum of the classics to train your mind to think rather than be swayed by cultish emotional groupthink. I say this with love because otherwise you have surrendered the mind and soul God gifted you to the Great Deceiver.

The demon is you, Candace, or is in you. The demon is Tyler Robinson, or was in him. The demon is not Charlie’s wife. The demon is not Charlie’s closest friends. The demon is not the organization Charlie bled to build and grow. The demon is not Israel, who has nothing to do with any of this, or the Federal Government who had nothing to do with this, or the Egyptians or the French or any of the other people and institutions you have slandered for money and fame. Your narcissism and sociopathy and self-interest and resentment and grief have all commingled into something truly sinister. What you have become and what you have done can only be answered in the blood of the very Christ Jesus you blaspheme for cheap points and clicks. You are playing games with your soul, Candace, and with people’s lives. It is a game you lose automatically just by playing. You sit on top of the world of fame, but you are falling into the pit of hell itself. You’re leading others there, too, and being cheered on by those already lost. God have mercy on your soul.
