STRETCH GOAL We've been completely blown away by the support for this film and getting Ruth & Kitty's story on screen. We never thought we'd be in this position, but we're stretching our campaign to see if we can get more funds to tell this story in the way it deserves...

Her other production credits include Netflix’s ”Bridgerton” as well as Zoe Hunter Gordon’s first short ”Lara.”

Emily most recently worked on the five-time BAFTA nominated ”The Dig”, directed by Simon Stone and starring Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes, and she was an associate producer for Anton Corbijn’s latest dance video, starring Sergei Polunin.

Meet the next member of our team... ✨ our producer Emily! Emily Lowe is a producer based in London. She is a Development Assistant at Magnolia Mae Films, working across the development and production teams for multiple upcoming television and film projects.

His feature film ‘IN MID WICKEDNESS’ (dir: William Oldroyd) was shot in Georgia, in the Georgian language and is based on the original play 'THE FORTY' by Howard Barker. Ben’s television credits are across a range of genres including entertainment, popular factual and comedy.

Other credits include ‘ANNA ISLAND’ (dir: Dolly Alderton) and 'NEW YEAR’ (dir: Lauren Bensted) which was selected for Film London's London Calling slate and awarded production funding in association with BFI Network, Creative Skillset and Wandsworth Short Film Fund.

Meet the next member of our team ✨ our lead producer Ben! Ben @BWoodsmith is a Sundance award-winning independent film and television producer. His short film ‘BEST’ (dir: William Oldroyd – Lady MacBeth) won Best Short Film at The Sundance Film Festival in London in 2014.

So... ✨ what is BETTER? 🧍🏻‍♀️🌊👩🏻‍🦽 BETTER is a short fiction film about disability, ableism and sibling relationships. Kitty's falling in love, hanging out with a new crowd, and pissing off her family. Her sister Ruth is worried about it. But should she be?
