After over 100 flights with kids, I am still in SHOCK at how we were treated, @united not taking any accountability, and their mediocre compensation. Your admin mistake caused me and the kids so much stress & left us stranded with no car, no hotel, nothing.

After contacting @united on Tuesday & Thurs and getting a confirmation number for my infant in arms, United apparently did not issue the ticket. No one seemed to know what to do. So my 3 kids and I had to sit at the counter for 4 hours. con’t next

@united - While flying solo with my 3 kids we were held at the ticket counter in Dulles for FOUR HOURS & forced to miss our flight because of an admin error for my infant ticket. (Not my mistake - it was United’s mistake) Con’t on next Tweet

Adding insult to injury, @united gave us 3 $250 vouchers for their airline. (🙄) to compensate. That’s $750. We paid $1,148.10 for three one way tickets. I paid for a direct flight from Dulles to Barbados (where we live) — we got held for 4 hours, forced to stay 2 more days….

And after holding us for 4 hours and making us miss our direct flight - @united rebooked us on a flight TWO DAYS later. Would only give us a hotel for one night. AND the flight was from a different airport with a layover at SIX AM. Again, traveling alone with 3 kids.
