I had 190+ tenants, multiple properties, debt free. Then COVID. Then fraud from inside Then bankruptcy The single biggest lesson? Your business is only as strong as the people you trusted to run it with you Hire slow. Trust slower.
Compliance failures don't happen overnight. They build slowly while you're too busy growing to notice. Then they collapse fast.
Everyone talks about COVID destroying businesses. It played its part with me. But the real damage? That came from inside.
