Cyclists from Russia and Belarus will be allowed to participate in international competitions as "neutral individual athletes" This was stated by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), stressing that participation in competitions will be possible only if the athletes will not be associated in any way with the Russian or Belarusian army or the security services of these countries, will not be associated with the flag or symbols of Russia or Belarus, and in no way express active support of Russian aggression against Ukraine. In 2022, the UCI banned the participation of Russians and Belarusians in international competitions in connection with the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
