The sharpest Buzz critique on Hacker News came from a Slack engineer. Drop an agent into a shared workspace and it sees what the room sees, and the second something must stay private you are back to writing rules about which agent can touch which resource. Buzz made a deliberate bet worth understanding before you wave it off. One control axis, channel membership, the same for people and agents. You do not hand an agent fine grained powers, you choose which rooms it sits in. Easy to reason about and easy to audit. The honest half nobody states out loud. Channel messages are not end to end encrypted here, so privacy comes from owning the relay and not from cryptography. If your threat model needs secrets hidden from the operator this is the wrong tool. If it needs one clear line about who and what is in each room it beats a pile of per agent rules.

@romainhuet @KaiXCreator been using 5.5 through openclaw too /models add openai-codex gpt-5.5 and it just works. the snappiness bump over 5.0 is real, especially for agent loops
