@Johnny5pointOH Doubles teams can absolutely turn it around over the course of four points. Much less certain than with singles. The kicker is you can change the lineup for the Dreambreaker. The two who played women's doubles could play mixed or vice versa. Or just one of them.

We do it with the UHSPA state championships. It's every bit as exciting. Same order. Women. Men. Mixed 1. Mixed 2. 4 points at a time. 4 new people jumping on the court every 4 points. Except we require Mixed 1 to be different players from those who played Women's and Men's. As hard as players work to be good at doubles, the primary format played in this sport, why would we void all their efforts and turn it over to singles, almost a completely different sport, and singles specialists, whose influence trumps everything else?
