1/ During our investigation of the Coldcard drain yesterday, we identified an unusual pattern in the sweeps. That pattern led us to a hypothesis that has since been confirmed: the operator used a paid account at a well-known blockchain-services provider to query the source addresses and perform other related activity during the sweeps.

We know you're upset about this fork and think it's stupid, but closing your eyes and wishing really hard that it goes away, or yelling about it on X, isn't going to work. That's not how Bitcoin works. BIP-110 has widespread support from thousands of plebs and businesses, a small but important part of the economy. Your fork to change the 21m number is not going to get any support at all. But if somehow it did, we will be there, defending Bitcoin with a counter fork. The anti BIP-110 side's unwillingness to defend itself and the network from a perceived attack is worthy of study.

I've made thousands of TXs in my life. I've never had my TX not make it into the next block unless I paid too low of a fee. I do wonder how spammers feel when they pay a sufficient fee and get told to go fuck themselves in the coinbase text of the block that rejected them.
