@baclfoo @ToneVays @start9labs It does, though. They have no control over what you run on your machine. They can’t stop you from sideloading a Core package or downloading one from another repository. The OS is also open source (mit), so they can’t stop anyone from auditing/forking the code they wrote.

@CarlosJackkal @BitcoinBombadil They can update to bip110 and wait a few months before block rewards become spendable and a few years before the difficulty rate drops, or they can do nothing and risk getting reorged by <1% of the hashrate. Hm. I wonder what they’ll choose?

@14g23h34 @matteopelleg I would think “don’t care” defaults to not updating, which means their node will follow the chain with the most proof of work. So unless we start seeing a lot more signaling blocks, it means “not bip110.”

@BenJustman @LukeDashjr It will activate on the nodes that run it. Those nodes will likely be bricked for all intents and purposes. But it will activate. The question is what will bip110 people do when their nodes start getting 1 or 2 blocks a day while everybody else’s nodes are going along normally?

@remcoros @start9labs I tried deleting the wallet and setting it back up. I set the birth date for a few weeks before I received my first silent payment on Cake Wallet. It took about three minutes to scan. It showed my payments in and out today, but not my old ones from about 15 months ago on Cake.
