@Petcson It currently works only on bipedal characters, but the rig itself can be custom. AutoPose maps its controls to your character’s existing rig, so it isn’t limited to one specific rig format. Support for non-bipedal characters may come later.

WIP: AutoPose for Blender Let’s make it Rain! Testing on the Rain rig from @BlenderStudio_ poses are applied directly to the FK controllers so you can easily switch and adjust manually. You can also see the panel this time. we are nearly there, hoping to release in the next few days if tests go well. #b3d
If you mean giving AutoPose a set of poses so it matches that style, then no. But whatever pose you start with becomes the base pose. While you adjust things, it tries to stay as close as possible to that starting pose while still making a natural result based on your constraints.
@hanumako @BlenderStudio_ Since AutoPose is linked to your rig, you can easily switch to the manual pose mode as shown in the panel and then add poses to the library or load from it.

Same idea, different method. In Cascadeur only the chest look-at influences the whole pose. Blaze AutoPose extends that behavior to the head and hips as well. The result is also applied to your Blender FK rig in real time so no export/import gymnastics required. speaking as a completely unbiased developer 😄feels smoother overall.
@solana_bandit @penfantasi Thanks. AutoPose is powerful, but a proper IK setup isn’t going anywhere. Better to have both.
Data is the main blocker here. With enough data for other character types the model can learn and they can be added. A lot of non-humanoid motion data is just ripped game animations, which I’m not willing to use. I’m still looking for a proper way to make non-humanoids work though. Let’s see what happens.
@adrparkinson Yes, you can record the control movements as you move the character. It only works on humanoids right now. I’d love to support quadrupeds, but there just isn’t enough ethical data to train the model on.
