the ending of deltarune will be a black screen and we never get to fight gaster so toby can tease a third game that concludes undertale/deltarune/??? (think mother 1-3) this will piss off 90% of the fandom for not getting answers for theories for a decade and have to wait another decade for another game.

When the focus is put on adding shit that can just be removed/turned off its a waste of dev focus that could have been put to better use. I think this is why fromsoftware get away with a lot of new mechanics they put in newer entries to something like dark souls 1-2-3 or Elden ring; YOU cant turn off the weapon art system or whatever new mechanic they add and since there isn't difficulty adjusting the player can do like play on easy or remove whole game systems entirely the community adapts to what is new in a new sequel with less outrage because it sort of becomes the new challenge in the new game to get used to new systems and that is fun in of itself. nu-halo devs always half ass everything to the point where you can tell Microsoft is whipping them to make a sequel halo game or remake they don't really want to do when they cant be confident in any design choices at all.

@fornatron Let the devs do sequels 20 years from now when they get passion to do it. It would be worse if they phoned it in and rushed it to please consumers when it wouldn't be as good since they didn't want to work on it

@MidaSponsordKit As a massive halo fan I struggled to get into it and dropped it. Whatever content is there in destiny 2 always feels like playing halo on heroic mode and not legendary. Like I don't want to play halo on easy mode and wait for it to get good or harder 200 hours in no thanks.

@RandalfTheGreat Nintendo has the chance to do the funniest thing and revamp the combat to darksouls-tier combat, add a stamina bar and i-frames to the dodge-roll, add RPG leveling stats at bonfire tier checkpoints and watch people seethe with endless engagement farming online about it all.

Did you not look at my examples? Or read for that matter? The characters are anime/Disney but the environment is semi realistic with more color/semi realistic you're literally taking just the character render concept art that doesn't show the environments like the ones I posted stop cheery picking 😂

Thats surface level thinking. What is their similarity? That you can go in any direction get lost and do the games structure in a pretty free order? Well that is where it starts to end. The original 80s nes zelda has -challenging enemies and combat that if you dont master it will get you killed pretty quickly- (btow is baby ez and has 100 ways to deal with any problem or enemy which is good to creative people ends up really easy to a hardcore gamer like me who will just go with the easist min max route to killing something or dealing with a problem so the whole game is on easy mode then) -The original game had 8 dungeons with different bosses and tons of enemy variety by comparison despite being a game from the 80s.- (btow has a piss poor amount of enemy varity and boss varity because they had to focus on the open world for dev time constraints; the open world and its environmental systems and designs took the majority of the focus instead of making different dungeons that look, feel, and play differently. You might say the 1980s zelda has similar LOOKING dungeons but thats because hardware limitations in the 80s and even then there were more enemies and bosses not all GANNON reskin fights. I cant think of any other similarity really. Both the original and btow have minimal story? But the 80s original is because again hardware limitations and btow is because limitations making a giant open world environment caused on dev time so I guess the last one is they share quick simple bogged down stories for the sake of development?

@KuroSekaiAnime Good this is better; seperate the visuals of each IP and not make cel-shaded "Stylized" boring toon shader be the norm for every IP. Mario and animal crossing can stay toon/cel shaded everything else can get their own artstyles and look as different as possible its better
