What do you think about David Eby possibly calling an early election? Just about 2 years ago the last election cost taxpayers $82 million. It's looking like he wants to capitalize on the latest polling showing that the NDP are in the lead by 10%. People need to wake up, if the NDP get another majority it will be the death of B.C. I can think of a brief list of failures of Eby and the NDP that I have fought against, just in my quick term of less than 2 years as an Independent MLA. - Passing and implementing Bill 36, the Health Professions and Occupations Act, despite concerns about professional independence and expanded regulatory powers. - Replacing elected health-regulator board members with government-appointed boards. - Attempting to give cabinet sweeping powers to modify or override provincial laws without normal legislative approval through Bill 7, the 2025 Economic Stabilization (Tariff Response) Act, before withdrawing those provisions after backlash. - Giving the province powers to override certain local requirements and accelerate designated projects through Bill 15, the 2025 Infrastructure Projects Act, reducing local control. - Overriding aspects of municipal zoning and prohibiting public hearings for specified residential zoning changes through Bill 44, the 2023 Housing Statutes (Residential Development) Amendment Act. - Restructuring legal-profession regulation through Bill 21, the 2024 Legal Professions Act, despite concerns about government influence and lawyers’ independence. - Concentrating more decision-making authority in provincial government while reducing opportunities for local and public participation. - Expanding DRIPA implementation without sufficient public understanding, transparency and consultation. - Advancing modern-day treaties and negotiating land and governance agreements with insufficient transparency and input from affected British Columbians. - Creating uncertainty around land ownership, resource access and government decision-making. - Attempting controversial Land Act changes before backing down. - Overstating projected natural-gas royalty revenue by approximately $1.46 billion over five years. - Failing to ensure the ferry replacement program supports Canadian shipbuilding, while BC Ferries awards four new vessels to a Chinese state-owned shipyard. - Changing Airbnb and short-term-rental rules after people invested in properties and built businesses under previous rules leaving some unable to continue operating, with mortgages and expenses still to pay. - Removing protections for some existing short-term-rental operations. - Overriding local decision-making on Surrey’s police transition. - Continuing barriers to government transparency, including FOI fees and delays. - Weakening government transparency with Bill 9, making it harder to hold the government accountable. - The North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant’s projected cost ballooning from approximately $700 million to $3.86 billion an increase of about $3.16 billion, with years of delays and higher costs for residents. - Restricting public access to parks and recreation areas, raising concerns about unequal access to public land and insufficient transparency around who can enter and why. - Spending public money on street-name and signage changes without sufficient community consultation or clear consideration of cost, readability and navigation. This is just some of the failures of the NDP since the last election, almost 2 years ago.

THIS IS NOT UNITY CLAIRE, THIS IS A PUBLIC AMBUSH. Claire Rattée you claim the B.C. Conservatives must win, but then publishes a 1,000-word attack on Kerry-Lynne Findlay just two days before voting begins in a crucial by-election. That timing deserves serious scrutiny. Rattée says she has been trying to secure a one-on-one meeting with Findlay. Yet I am aware that such a meeting has already taken place. If Rattée disputes that, she should clearly state when she requested another meeting and what response she received. Otherwise, the public is being given a misleading impression that Findlay refused to meet with her. An MLA with legitimate concerns has direct access to the leader, caucus meetings, the caucus chair, the whip and internal party channels. She does not need to appeal to her own leader through Substack unless the real objective is to apply public pressure, damage her authority or prepare the ground for another move. The article publicly declares that caucus is “deeply divided,” attacks Findlay’s staffing decisions and says Rattée will not “tolerate” leadership that fails to address her concerns. Predictably, the Canadian Press immediately turned it into a story about a Conservative MLA “calling out” her leader. That outcome was entirely foreseeable. The Canadian Press report This is not how mature colleagues resolve disagreements. You raise the issues directly, propose solutions and work through the caucus process. You do not publicly hand the NDP damaging headlines on the eve of voting and then call it an appeal for unity. Findlay was elected leader by the membership. She deserves a fair opportunity to lead, contest her seat and demonstrate what she can accomplish. Caucus members do not have to agree with every decision, but deliberately destabilizing the leader during a by-election risks undermining the party, its candidate, its volunteers and every member who voted for her. If Rattée truly believes the Conservatives must win, why publish this now? Why not wait until after the by-election? Why turn an internal dispute into a public ultimatum at the moment it could cause maximum political damage? At some point, KLF must decide whether repeated public attacks from inside her own caucus are legitimate dissent or organized undermining. What should Kerry-Lynne Findlay do with caucus members like you who publicly destabilize her leadership during a by-election?
