@KanishkGiri2 For the class booking flow, try filling a class and then cancelling one place. Does the UI make that seat available again? If you want a backend to test against, we’re building Bookrail, an open-source booking API: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…
@vshawale90 Does the safari flow reserve seats or send an enquiry for staff to confirm? We’re building Bookrail, an open-source booking API. If you add live capacity, a small test would be one departure with six seats: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…
@tanishqmohod06 The last-seat case is one we built Bookrail for: capacity is enforced in Postgres. It’s an open-source booking API if you want to try that part: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…. Razorpay payment handling would still belong in your app.
@fros_official For projects where you can choose the booking backend, we’re building Bookrail: open-source availability, holds and bookings, with MCP tools for agents. The quickstart lets you test a booking: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…. It won’t unlock an existing vendor’s API.
@nizzyabi We’re building the booking backend for businesses that control their own availability: Bookrail, open source with MCP tools for agents. It doesn’t provide Resy inventory. If you’re building that side, you can try a test booking: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…
@yuvapreneur Are you planning to book the appointment inside the DM, or send people to a calendar? If it’s inside the DM, we’re building Bookrail, an open-source availability and booking API you could try behind the agent: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…
@0xGaius_ What checks availability before the chat confirms a booking? We’re building Bookrail, an open-source API for that part. If you’re still wiring it up, try a test booking here: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…. I’d like to hear what your n8n flow needs that’s missing.
@Valleyvinci For the chatbot you mentioned, our open-source Bookrail API has MCP tools for checking availability and making bookings. You could try it with one gym class and a fixed capacity: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…. Membership checks would stay in your workflow.
@MaouriceG@hoastnow I’d keep approval decisions in the product, with email linking back to the request. For availability underneath that flow, we’re building Bookrail, an open-source API. Try a shared space with a test key: bookrail.dev/signup. You’d still own the approval workflow.
@iamjohndaniels@AgomaMitchell I’d delay the booking response after the write commits, then interrupt the call. The agent has to recover the booking ID and cancel it. Repeat with cancellation failing: it should say the booking is still active, rather than tell the caller it’s cancelled.
@samwoods Those buffer rules need to be checked when the appointment is saved, too. A slot can be free when the agent reads the calendar and gone by the time it books. Would you have it offer a new time automatically, or come back to you?
@lindseydortch What do they rent out: the venue, equipment, or both? Setup and teardown time could be easy to miss when moving that whiteboard into a calendar. We’re building Bookrail, an open-source booking API, if you end up needing availability checks behind your own UI.
@gogixgunia How do external bookings get into the fleet calendar: live sync or staff entering them? We’re building an open-source booking API, and I’d be interested in how you handle a car coming back late when its next rental is already confirmed.
Why is 10:00 missing from the booking calendar?
Bookrail's --explain shows why a slot was rejected. Here, Court 1 is already occupied.
Real test output from our open-source booking API. Try it: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…
@Victor_Gaabrie If you'd like another implementation to compare with your study, we're building Bookrail, an open-source booking API with capacity checks in Postgres. The code and concurrency tests are here: github.com/bookrail-dev/b…. I'd welcome your take on the tradeoffs.
@MsSajjd Does capacity filtering reserve a specific vehicle, or just find a vehicle type that fits? A van can fit the passengers and luggage but still be on another transfer. Curious how you handle that gap in the booking flow.
Two padel courts, opening hours, a confirmed booking. Here's the whole flow with Bookrail's CLI: configure the club, check availability, book a slot.
Open-source booking API. Real output, test environment.
Try it: bookrail.dev/docs/quickstar…
@builtbygomez That explains the custom build, especially with travel between cities. We're building Bookrail, an open-source booking API. If you'd like to try it on a future project, grab a test key: bookrail.dev/signup. I'd be curious what you'd find missing.
