No, it wasn’t the “same exact” case. In 2023 Lamar was AP first team All-Pro and Dak was second team, then Lamar won MVP, what usually happens. In 2024 Lamar had an all time season, was AP first team again over Allen 30–18, yet the second team QB won MVP. Allen became only the third MVP ever who wasn’t first team All-Pro. You’re ignoring the biggest difference between the two races just to force a false equivalence.

Same principle, not the same case 😂 MVP considers stats, impact, competition and team success. In 2023, Lamar’s overall impact and resume outweighed Dak’s better passing totals. In 2024, Lamar also had the stronger statistical resume, yet voters leaned more heavily on Allen’s value/team success narrative. Saying stats aren’t everything doesn’t mean every MVP result is automatically equally justified. That’s the distinction you keep missing.

Career totals weren’t the point 😂 Lamar has never committed 4 turnovers in one playoff game. Allen just threw 2 picks and lost 2 fumbles in an elimination loss. And since you want to discuss ball security, Allen has fumbled 15 times in the playoffs, his teammates recovered 11 of them. Recovery luck doesn’t mean those fumbles never happened. The lack of self awareness is yours.

I know exactly what happened the following year. Lamar led Allen in nearly every major QB statistic and was voted first-team All-Pro, while Allen narrowly won MVP based partly on team success and perceived value. That actually proves MVP has never been determined by stats alone, the same point I’m making about 2023. I can believe Lamar deserved it in 2024 without pretending Allen was trash or that Dak automatically deserved 2023 because he had prettier passing totals. Those aren’t identical situations.

You still don’t understand the argument 😂 Nobody said stats don’t matter or that Dak padded them. Lamar has repeatedly said he cares about winning more than numbers. Baltimore was blowing good teams out, went conservative late, and literally pulled him in multiple blowouts. So yes, his raw totals could’ve been higher if those games required him to keep throwing. MVP voters aren’t robots sorting a spreadsheet by TD passes. They evaluate efficiency, impact, opponent quality, game context and what actually happened on the field. That’s why 49 of 50 looked at the entire season and picked Lamar.

You don’t want ‘objective’ analysis, you want every Dak failure explained away and every Lamar accomplishment minimized. Dak had a great year. And you conveniently skipped the Rams, 12-5 Lions, 12-5 49ers and 11-6 Dolphins. Baltimore closed with wins of 37-31, 23-7, 33-19 and 56-19 through that gauntlet. Meanwhile every Dak loss gets an excuse: the fullback, the defense, James Cook, etc. You can’t say wins are a team stat when Lamar wins, then dissect the whole team to absolve Dak when he loses. Pick a standard. 😂

Reading comprehension is killing you 😂 “They didn’t need him chasing stats late” means the games were already decided, not that Baltimore didn’t need Lamar. And this ‘total production blowout’ is funny too: Dak had 4,758 yards in 17 games, Lamar had 4,499 in 16. That’s roughly 280 per game for Dak and 281 for Lamar. Dak had more TDs, absolutely. But you keep turning every advantage Dak had into some massive gap that simply wasn’t there.
