@openclaw is everywhere right now. With the simple setup, Anthropic auth didn't work for me. Zero responses. Ended up forking it and using Claude CLI directly: → Claude CLI as subprocess → JSON in, reply out → Smart model routing: • Local Llama 3.2 for heartbeat • Haiku for quick stuff • Sonnet/Opus for thinking & architecture → All works with same Anthropic subscription → Session persistence Simple but effective. Sometimes "just use the CLI" is the answer.

Just move your project to a VPS, host you webApp + DB on s single host. I will be cheaper + faster for any hobby project, and setup is pretty simple now. Also you can put multiple projects. Alternative to supabase you can try neon.com . You can have up to 20 Posgres dbs running for free.

Thanks for sharing this info. I migrated my web app from Railway + Supabase to a Hetzner VPS. For future reference, instead of exporting your DB with CSV, you can use "pg_dump" to download a backup DB from Supabase, then with docker exec you can install it into your VPS PostgreSQL DB.

Today I tried something new — migrated my Next.js app from Railway + Supabase to a VPS. I’d never done it before, but after ~3h of setup (Coolify + Hetzner), everything was live. ⚡️ DB fetch went from 3.5s → 230ms 💾 Hetzner CAX21: 4vCPU / 8GB RAM / 80GB SSD / 20TB (~€7/mo) The difference? The DB + server now live on the same host — it feels as fast as localhost. Will test a few days before switching DNS, but wow — huge improvement.

Question for everyone coding with AI tools 👨‍💻 Do you run any kind of security testing on your web apps (XSS, SQL injection, API abuse, etc.) Or is that something you plan to handle “later”?

I was doing some research for an idea i had and wow.. top results for my search query have very bad reviews for most apps.. is this a confirmation for me that the ideas is good? 😆

Week 5 of my #12apps12weeks challenge didn’t go as planned. 2 days fixing bugs from previous projects, 2 days chasing new ones, and then I got sick. I did build the app I wanted - a day trading tool that analyzes SPY/QQQ/UVXY (plus their holdings) to gauge short-term market sentiment. It works, but needs more testing before going public. I might invite a few traders to try it soon! After reviewing all 5 projects I’ve built so far, I realized none feel done. No users, no marketing - just fast shipping and constant learning. So I’m changing my approach. From now on, I’ll focus 95% on one project I truly believe in, but this time, I’ll spend more time on marketing and aim to solve a real problem others have, not just my own. I’ll still continue the #12apps12weeks challenge, but my weekly builds will be smaller tools, quick 1-day projects, some connected to the main idea. The focus now is on depth, not just speed. 💡

@manchatz I spenta lot of time searching for answers on Stack Overflow, but that's the past. We're close to replacing video/photo websites. AI generation is pricey now, but that will change soon.

@justbuilding @alexfinn Actually, the problem is different. If you post, you need APIs. If you get data (e.g., users' posts to analyze) for personal use, it's kind of OK. If you get data and try to create a SaaS or monetize it somehow, this is wrong and illegal.

@justbuilding @alexfinn I looked into this some time back, and the only official way to get other users' posts is to use the X API (with others being kind of illegal). So with a tool like this, it's $200/month for a few users or $5k/month for more.

Debug 1:1 for Vibe Coding 🧩 Spent 1.5 days fixing what looked like a tiny bug in my Next.js app. Goal: display a chart with Historical + Live data + VWAP (just a simple line 😅). Setup: WebSocket → live data API routes → historical data SSR → updates the client TradingView chart → renders candles The problem: Each SSR update added a new gap candle instead of updating the last one. I tried Claude, Grok, ChatGPT -> 20+ code variations later, still broken. So… what now? Step back and isolate the problem. Here’s how I debugged it 👇 1️⃣ Listed all moving parts: Next.js, SSR, WebSocket, TradingView JS lib, 2 charts. 2️⃣ Googled & searched GitHub issues → nothing. 3️⃣ Downgraded chart lib → no luck. 4️⃣ Tried only live data → still broken. 5️⃣ Ran a plain Node with WebSockets + Chart test → it worked 🎉 6️⃣ Rebuilt from scratch in Next.js → worked! 7️⃣ Added VWAP line again → broke 😅 💡 Root cause found! The VWAP update logic was interfering with SSR updates. Fixed that, and everything synced perfectly. Lesson: even official libs (or paid ones) have bugs — check their GitHub issues before losing your weekend 😆 AI is powerful, but isolation + reasoning still wins sometimes.
