I recently learned that my projected retirement benefit will be less than $200 a month. That number changed the question I was asking about retirement. Instead of: “Why didn't I prepare better twenty years ago?” I'm asking: What can I still build from here? I have published 15+ books. I have decades of experience in research, community capacity building, and gardening. I have skills, knowledge, ideas, and life experience. What I don't have is the retirement income I wish I had built. So I'm testing what happens when I put the two together. • Can books generate meaningful later-in-life income? • Can gardening reduce household expenses and lead to marketable products? • Can decades of knowledge become useful services, courses, books, or resources? • How do we protect our health and purpose while building financial security? • How do family responsibilities, caregiving, and the realities of ageing affect all of this? That's what I'll be documenting here. Not as a retirement expert, but as someone who is experiencing it firsthand. What can I still build from here? The best news as a daily creative. I like recording videos and audio but posting videos on X is a challenge: it requires publishing via Studio then opening the post on X to add a thumbnail and a proper description. Please, improve on that and I'll be there to publish and engage with those interested in my niche.

Is X going to update how we publish videos on the platform? I records lots of videos about my niche but publishing them via Studio is a pain. I publish there, click publish them return to the X timeline to add a thumbnail, script, etc. I can wait for an improved way to post videos.
