I pay $2,995 a month for my family’s health insurance (just me, my wife, and our son). That’s $35,940 a year. Over 30 years (with no increases), that’s $1,078,200. Over a million dollars. And that’s the best-case scenario. Premiums won’t stay flat.

Really sad to see what’s unfolding in Puerto Vallarta today. PV is special to us. My wife and I were married there and we travel there often (we even hosted an agency partner offsite there last November). Praying for the safety of residents and visitors this week.

I’ve worked hard, for my entire career, to keep my life balanced with my job. In my book, I write about my Tuesday date nights with my wife. For over thirty years, I had a hard cut-off on Tuesdays. Rain or shine, I left at exactly 5 pm and spent the evening with my best friend.
