I remember back in 2017 when Anthony Bourdain came by Trejo's Cantina for Parts Unknown. It was like being visited by the pope. He had a gift for talking right at you, with you, as if we were on the same level. He loved my cauliflower and jackfruit tacos. This is a man who wants to globalize the intifada, and believes capitalism is a danger. Zohran Mamdani has barely ever had a job, with just 3 years in the workforce — including his ‘rap career’ and a gig for his mom. Some of his rap is wildly antisemitic. This is a man who is deeply antisemitic and who is proudly anti Israel. Zohran Mamdani took to the streets just days after the October 7th massacre, not to condemn Hamas, but to condemn Israel. He co-founded a Students for Justice in Palestine chapter - whose latest announcement, is "the Empire will fall, from Gaza to Tehran." Advocating for the destruction of America is not a position that a mayor of NY City should have. Hasan Piker : “Americans deserved 9/11.” NYC Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani: “cool, we should have lunch together and do an interview.” That is the photo you see below. He has promised to: 1. Why Islamic Countries Can't Sustain Secular Rule? The ideological insistence on Islamic supremacy leaves no room for secular rulers to govern without constant appeasement of religious sentiments. Secular Arab leaders attempt to placate Muslim populations with symbolic gestures, anti-Zionist rhetoric, state-sponsored religious institutions, or alliances with Islamic movements, but these efforts invariably fail to satisfy the demand for Sharia-based governance. When appeasement falters, as it always does in the face of uncompromising theological expectations, secular rulers resort to tyranny to maintain power, crushing dissent through violence and repression. This cycle of appeasement and authoritarianism, rooted in the inability to reconcile secular governance with the ummah’s vision of divine rule, ensures that progressive or future-focused governance remains elusive, trapping much of the Islamic world in a perpetual struggle between autocracy and theocratic ambition.
