Me dicen que hay sacerdotes que están afirmando que el monseñor Marcel Lefebvre "apoyó el Concilio". Este es el clásico argumento de malasana contra el Monseñor que engaña a incautos pero no a quien está bien formado en la fe y la historia de la iglesia. Respondo en tres puntos, no se necesitan más: Primero: me traen una carta de 1966, escrita inmediatamente después del Concilio, cuando aún no se habían visto los frutos podridos. Monseñor Lefebvre, como miles de obispos, aceptó los textos en su lectura tradicional, confiando en que la continuidad se impondría. ¿Y qué pasó? Que vino la aplicación modernista, la destrucción litúrgica, la herejía en la catequesis, el derrumbe de seminarios y órdenes religiosas. El monseñor tuvo la honestidad de rectificar cuando vio el desastre. Eso no lo descalifica, LO HONRA. Solo un NECIO se aferra a un error cuando la evidencia lo aplasta. Segundo: el mismo Monseñor Lefebvre explicó después que aceptó el Concilio "en su sentido tradicional", NO en la hermenéutica rupturista que luego impusieron Bugnini, Küng y compañía. Cuando vio que los textos eran usados como ariete contra la fe, los combatió. Esa es la diferencia entre un hombre de fe y un burócrata: el primero defiende la Verdad aunque lo acusen de contradictorio, el segundo obedece al diablo aunque lo lleve al abismo. Tercero: ese argumento es el mismo que usan los modernistas para decir "Lefebvre estaba con nosotros al principio, luego se volvió loco". Lo que callan es que Lefebvre se volvió contra el Concilio cuando el Concilio se volvió contra la fe. Si alguien no entiende eso, no ha entendido nada del drama de la Iglesia postconciliar. Respuesta final: sí, Lefebvre confió en el Concilio en 1966 pero en 1976 ya lo acusaba públicamente de herejía. ¿Qué pasó entre 1966 y 1976? Que la herejía se hizo visible. Y Lefebvre tuvo la DECENCIA de llamarla por su nombre. Eso no es contradicción alguna, es fidelidad. ¿Obedecer a Roma cuando Roma obedece a Cristo? ES UN DEBER. ¿Obedecer a Roma cuando Roma traiciona a Cristo? ESO, ES COMPLICIDAD. Lefebvre eligió a Cristo. Autor: Mar Mounier.
