Based on recent Pew Research Center data from 2023-2024 surveys of registered voters, approximately 56% of women affiliate with or lean toward the Democratic Party, compared to 44% of men.

Some adult children are protecting themselves from documented abuse, severe addiction, or ongoing cruelty; in those cases distance can be justified and the parent’s task is different. Others cite value clashes, political disagreement, a partner’s influence, or the expanded clinical language of “toxic,” “unsafe,” and “boundaries” applied to ordinary parental flaws, criticism, over-involvement, imperfect empathy. Parents and children frequently disagree about which story is true.

3) Our hearts ache for what we see playing out in the media. Although many "Conservatives" and even professing Christians will be quick to judge, mock or ridicule demonstrations of Liberals screaming in the streets with rainbow flags and other provocative images, as an example, we know that person is someone's precious daughter... someone's beautiful son... and there are parents whose hearts may be breaking as these images unfold, often in real time. This is not to say that we condone or condemn what we see... just that we have the utmost sympathy for the broken families often represented in social media and on television. That being said, our sympathy will not prevent us from speaking TRUTH... and often times, the truth hurts.
