Just about a year ago, we discovered the first open sore on her backside, and for 2 months or so, we were told it would get better. Until we learned there was a lump underneath it. After we lost her sister on Halloween, she had surgery to remove the lump. We were told margins were clean but narrow, but she was cancer-free. Few months later, an enlarged lymph node flags funny. She has surgery to have it removed. It was tested to not be cancerous at all. Well. Today, we have been informed the original spot she had surgery has a new nodule growing, as well as little nodules along the surgery site. The cancer is back. She received her first dose of chemo via IV today. I don't know what to do. It's been practically a year of doctors appointments for her. Is putting her through chemo giving her a good quality of life still?
