@DannyAbriano Madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Today's lineup does indeed = madness, irrespective of the result. Buck's reasoning on Pham's "bad luck" doesn't account for Tommy striking out 7 times with RISP (in 17 ABs).

@DannyAbriano Crazy season but the bottom line is, Lindor hits when it counts. Has a .218 BA but also 24 RBIs. 18 of those are with RISP.

@mlbnyy51600 @MBrownstein89 @Metsmerized As our DH, that's what we need from him. RBIs. I don't care about his OBP because when he draws a walk he can become a liability on 1B. But if he keeps up the key hits/RBIs, I am good!

@mlbnyy51600 @MBrownstein89 @Metsmerized I think the real issue is that he's not a multi-dimensional player. But something to stew on: Over the past week (4/21 - 4/28) he's had 3 plate appearances with RISP. He's hit .667 BA, .667 SLG, 1.333 OPS in those instances. Pretty impressive, and ...

@MBrownstein89 @Metsmerized Well, I'm digging in a bit here and see that Voggie has had 3 plate appearances with RISP over the past week (4/21 - 4/28), and he's actually hit .667 over that period. So, hey, if he keeps that up, I'm good :)

@MBrownstein89 @Metsmerized ... his playing time isn't the issue. DHs w/ way fewer ABs have significantly more RBIs. He is simply not productive/clutch. 3 SOs last night, 1 w/ a runner on 3rd w/ 1 out is just one example. Seems like a great guy in the clubhouse, but we need to give our kids a shot.

@MBrownstein89 @Metsmerized Which really surprises the heck out of me. Don't get me wrong --- good for him! But the way he drops the glove before every pitch, there doesn't look to be any framing a good portion of the time.

@michaelgbaron When we thought we were signing Correa, even Cohen admitted we were short a bat leading up to his signing. We are most definitely short a power bat in this line-up.

@MBrownstein89 Generally speaking, I guess you have to see what Smith has in high-leverage situations. I would have found that a much more acceptable answer than the other guys needing rest.

@genymets Actually, I thought his AB w/ bases loaded was a step in the right direction. He took some tough pitches. Good to see him not swinging at everything.
