Iran put everything it had on the line, everything, to stop the most heinous crimes, the crime of crimes and the supreme crime of aggression, in our time. Standing completely alone in the world, it tied its own destiny to the people of Palestine and Lebanon. And it almost succeeded. Now imagine if only one, just ONE, other nation had stood with Iran on this issue. Not a single country pressed Israel and the US to commit to the MOU. Not a single one of the nuclear powers and all those self proclaimed ambassadors of peace. Not a single neighboring Arab country. Not even Lebanon itself. They all just stood by and watched Iran fight alone and pay the price. What an absolutely despicable and disgusting world we have created.

آج ایک خاتون لاہور چڑیا گھر گئیں تو انہوں نے یہ ویڈیو شئیر کی ۔ مجھے کراچی چڑیا گھر کی ہتھنی ,, نور جہاں ،، کی موت نہیں بھولتی اور وہ اس کے آخری دن ۔۔۔ ، وہ اٹھارہ سال قید تنہائی میں تڑپتی رہی ، اور پھر ایسی گری کہ کھڑی نہ ہوپائی ، اور وہ لاہور کی سوزی ! چھ سال کی عمر میں چڑیا گھر لائی گئی ، جس نے 35 سال دیکھنے والوں کا دل بہلایا مگر اس کا دل کوئی نہ بہلا سکا ، ڈپریشن کا شکار ہونے لگی ، ہفتوں سر جھکائے بھوکی رہتی اور عمر کے آخری سال دیواروں سے سر ٹکرا ٹکرا کے مر گئی یعنی آزاد ہوگئی ۔ اور وہ لاہور Zoo کے ہی نایاب ببر شیر اور شیرنیاں ۔۔۔ فیری ، راول اور انجیلا ، اور ان کے بچے مصنوعی ماحول میں جینے کی کوشش میں۔۔۔۔ مرگئے ۔ میرے بس میں ہو تو کم ازکم پاکستان کے چڑیا گھر ختم کرادوں ، جس ملک میں انسانوں کی حالت قابل رحم ہو وہاں جانوروں کی ذمہ داری کوئی کیوں لے ؟ مجھے ان بےزبانوں کی حالت پر رحم آتا ہے ۔ کاش ۔۔۔ یہ چڑیا گھر نہ ہوتے ۔۔۔ نہ ہمیں پیسے بھر کو ان کو قید دیکھنے کی چاہ ہوتی ۔۔ اس ویڈیو میں ایک سفید چیتا بےچینی سے پنجرے کے اندر چکر لگا رہا ہے ، صاف نظر آ رہا ہے کہ اس کے پاؤں میں کوئی مسئلہ ہے، شاید ہڈی ٹوٹی ہے، مگر تکلیف میں ہے ۔ بےچین ہے ۔۔ مجھے نہیں معلوم چڑیا گھر کی انتظامیہ کہاں ہے ۔۔۔ بس اتنا معلوم ہے یہ بھی ایک دن زندگی ہار جائے گا ۔ کاش یہ ویڈیو چیف منسٹر پنجاب تک پہنچ جائے ، کروڑوں کی ٹکٹوں پر چلنے والے یہ چڑیا گھر نہیں عقوبت خانے ہیں ، یہاں ہر پنجرے اور دیوار سے عجیب سی وحشت ٹپکتی ہے ۔۔ قید میں مرنے والے ہرجانور کی روح ، سلاخوں میں جینے والوں کو تسلی دیتی ہے کہ فکر نہ کرو ! کبھی مر گئے تو آزاد ہوجاو گے ۔ سوزی ، نور جہاں ، فیری ، راول اور انجیلا ۔۔۔ کی طرح 💔
