Ever wonder why most chicken eggs are laid in the morning? Chickens only lay eggs after they receive a light cue from either a natural or artificial light source. There is a gland near the chicken’s eye, that, when triggered by light, will release an egg from the chicken’s ovary.

Many productions have been on stage at the Drayton Festival Theatre since it opened in 1991. Here are just a few of the memorable shows that have entertained audiences in Drayton: Vaudeville! (1991), Blood Brothers (1998), Over The River and Through The Woods (2000). 1/3
There are a few awesome places to eat when visiting #Drayton. If you’re looking for a quick bite, à la mode cafe offers yummy wraps, salads, ice cream and more right across the road from the theatre. #CantWaitToBeBack 1/4
50/50 draws have been part of our history for many years. The July draw is open online with a few changes! Instead of 10 tickets for $20, we’re giving you 40 tickets for $20. And instead of 50 tickets for $50, we’re giving you 100 tickets for $40. 🎟️drayton5050.com 3/3
Built in 1902, the Drayton Festival Theatre is a former town hall that has a rich history of entertaining audiences. When it was originally built, the historic opera house was also home to municipal offices, council chambers, library, fire hall, an auto repair shop, and jail. 2/3
We're grateful for the warm July weather … but we miss summer theatre! This month, we’ll be virtually visiting each of our theatres and exploring the surrounding communities. First stop, the Drayton Festival Theatre in Drayton @MapletonTwp @wellingtncounty @ChamberMapleton 1/3
