This abduction is heartbreaking, barbaric and completely unacceptable. A principal, students and a NECO official were kidnapped while the children were writing an examination—proof that insecurity has invaded even our classrooms. Kidnapping has emptied schools, destroyed businesses, displaced families, increased food prices, impoverished communities and forced struggling Nigerians to pay ransoms—sometimes after selling their homes, farms and livelihoods. It has also left countless families traumatised and afraid to travel, farm, study or work. Despite the trillions of naira repeatedly allocated to defence and security—including ₦5.41 trillion in the 2026 budget—Nigerians are still being abducted daily. The secrecy, corruption risks and lack of accountability surrounding security procurement must be investigated. Every naira must be accounted for, and anyone who diverted security funds must face prosecution. Nigeria should have declared a national state of emergency on insecurity long ago. Protecting lives and property is the government’s first responsibility. May the victims be rescued safely and unconditionally. Nigerians must obtain their PVCs, protect their votes and prepare to vote out the Tinubu government in 2027. Enough of insecurity, excuses and failed leadership. A New Nigeria is POssible.

In the 1960s, Nigeria had a productive economy driven by agriculture, exporting cocoa, groundnuts, palm produce, cotton and rubber. By 1980, oil wealth had given us the resources to build infrastructure, industries and strong public institutions. Today, despite our enormous resources, poverty, unemployment, insecurity, inflation and debt define the lives of millions. Nigeria should be Africa’s industrial, agricultural and technological powerhouse, with reliable electricity, quality education, affordable healthcare and jobs for its young people. What held us back? Corruption, oil dependency, weak institutions, tribal politics and decades of incompetent leadership. We must return Nigeria to production, support SMEs, secure the country, invest in people, reduce waste and hold leaders accountable. Tinubu and APC must go in 2027 because Nigerians cannot afford another four years of hardship, reckless borrowing, worsening poverty and government without compassion. Peter Obi represents competence, accountability and the productive leadership Nigeria urgently needs. A New Nigeria is POssible.

Indeed, Tinubu has transformed Nigeria, but mostly for the worse. Nigerians have never experienced this level of hardship, insecurity, unemployment, collapsing purchasing power and unbearable cost of living. The most visible transformation appears to be within his family, political associates and their bank accounts, while ordinary citizens are left struggling to survive. Traditional rulers should speak truth to power, not become campaigners for politicians. Nigerians are living the reality; no door-to-door propaganda can hide their suffering.

This explanation raises more questions than answers. If the vehicle was wrongly parked, why didn’t the airport official simply direct the driver to the proper parking area before clamping it? Why were other vehicles reportedly parked around the same location not clamped? Why was only selected footage released instead of the full, unedited CCTV recording showing everything that happened before, during and after the incident? Nigerians should be allowed to judge the complete evidence, not a carefully edited version designed to support the government’s narrative. Turning a ₦25,000 parking issue into a national campaign against Peter Obi looks less like law enforcement and more like political persecution. Power is transient. This constant abuse of office and targeting of opposition figures will eventually backfire. Nigeria is already fragile. Stop creating unnecessary tension and focus on insecurity, unemployment, electricity and the unbearable cost of living. Leave Peter Obi alone.

Bayo Onanuga, if Peter Obi were truly as clueless as you claim, you would not be this worried about every single thing he says or does. By responding to everything and constantly attacking him, you are only keeping him in the minds and faces of Nigerians. You are not doing a good job, sir. Focus on selling President Tinubu and his achievements, if there are any worth celebrating. Tell Nigerians what this government is doing about insecurity, unemployment, electricity and the rising cost of living. Those are the issues people want to hear about. Enough of the name-calling and insults abeg. For what purpose? Jesus Christ! Focus on governance.

Minister, you are being smart by half. If that area was prohibited, why couldn’t the clamping officer simply direct the driver to the appropriate parking space? Why were the other vehicles shown in the same area not clamped? Why was the CCTV footage edited instead of releasing the complete, uncut recording for Nigerians to judge fairly? Selective footage only strengthens concerns that the incident is being manipulated to fit a predetermined narrative. Power is transient. This abuse of office and constant targeting of opposition figures will eventually backfire. Nigeria is already fragile; do not take actions capable of worsening tensions or destabilising the country. Leave Peter Obi alone and focus on fixing our airports.

Well said, RMK. Power is transient, but history is permanent. Every leader should remember that today's authority can become tomorrow's accountability. No Nigerian should be intimidated, persecuted, or denied justice because of political differences. The rule of law must apply equally to everyone. The only peaceful response is at the ballot box. Every well-meaning Nigerian should get their PVC, mobilise others, and vote out the Tinubu administration in the next election. Democracy belongs to the people, not to any individual.

This level of insecurity is unacceptable. The perpetrators must be identified, arrested, and brought to justice without delay. No nation can prosper when innocent citizens live in fear while those responsible walk free. The Tinubu government has failed in its primary duty of protecting lives and property. 2027 is our opportunity. Every eligible Nigerian must get their PVC and use the ballot to vote out this government. Enough is enough. Nigeria deserves security, accountability, and competent leadership.
