In Europe it’s rare to see this kind of behaviour. Most European inner city centres now only have 5kph speed limit where they are closed to pedestrian areas.

@tony24764 It’s regular. They should put ANPR cameras there as well! I was sat outside Castle Street Townhouse on Monday and it stank of dirty drains. Liverpool council only ever do things half arsed.

Is there a street in Liverpool better at summing up how poor Liverpool Council is, than Bold Street? Who wants to eat a meal while sat in the gutter of the street! Turn it into a proper plaza not this absolute shit show of a street with tables in the gutter!

@BimboLimboSpam Yeah, but they have regular collection. I had thyroid blood test and the Drs told me to book in with health centre in Croxteth as they would get the bloods to the lab quicker.

@BimboLimboSpam I think it’s different blood tests they do. I’ve had a similar experience. Certain markers need to tester within a shorter window. For those I had to book in at a blood clinic in Croxteth.

But beyond this the standard of living isn't great! Manchester has a multi modal travel network, excellent travel connections and a wide spread of industries & professional services! Liverpool should be tapping into North Wales & Chester & further west!

The trains are unreliable, the council never seem to finish anything ie active travel lanes, loads of sites not finished, church Street filthy. They push it as a party/tourist destination. It has some bright spots like the water front & the parks. 2/3
